So Evidently Set Forth and Crucified

Galatians 3:1 O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?

The thought process in this day is that belief in anything, as long as a person is sincere, is all right.  That’s what the church at Galatia was doing.  Some even added that sure you can be a Christian but you still have to keep the law.  Paul said it was bewitching.

People are deceived.  The world is geared toward deception.  What’s strange is the gullibility of people.  Ridiculous beliefs are accepted.  Thoughts that the Bible isn’t true or it’s not what people think it is are rampant.  Paul said O foolish Galatians.  It is foolish to once trust Jesus and then back off thinking you don’t need him.  New Age movements are trying to get even the elect to believe the lies.  Paul asked who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?

Whether we believe it or not, these are the facts.  Jesus Christ was set forth and crucified. It’s important to trust God with all our heart and be leery of anyone who tries to tell us differently.  The re-writing of history we see going on today reaches across all venues.  Trying to erase God out of our history means that history as we were taught is gone.  It’s the same with the Bible.  History is distorted; the Bible is distorted.  Wickedness is on the increase.  The end of time is near.  The devil has never been busier trying to conceal the truth.  We’ve lost it as a society.  We’ve turned to the master of lies.

The only one we can trust is God.  He doesn’t need dressing up.  He needs no help from Hollywood or the government.  He has presented himself evidently.  Even a child needs not ere from the truth.  Lies are wrapped in more lies, but Jesus Christ is as he is.  He was mandated of God; we can trust him.  There is no authority or stamp of approval on the lies.  There is false peace with the end being destruction.  Jesus Christ is the only authorized Savior.  He was also validated.  I’ve met no other who can do for me what Jesus Christ has done.  He has authority.  With Jesus we have access to God the Father.  The only way to God is through Jesus Christ the Savior.  When Jesus stepped out, God said this is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased.  Jesus became sin on the cross and the stamp of approval happened when God turned his back so Jesus could pay the sin debt.  Later, the grave clothes were left behind in one final stamp when Jesus rose from the dead.

If anything is clear in this time of delusion it is the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  It wasn’t done in another world for a few people.  It was done evidently among the people.  At the time of Paul’s writing it was about 30 years after the crucifixion.  The power of the cross was just as strong then.  It is strong today.  Trust Jesus and what he did 2,000 years ago and it will do a work in your heart and set you free.  No one can change what Jesus did.  He’s evidently among us.  The heartbeats of humanity are winding down, but God is everlasting.  He was set forth for one reason—us.  If we didn’t need a Savior he would not have been set forth.  Because of you and me Jesus went to the cross.  He was the only one who could take our place.  I have the evidence within me.  Because I trust in what Jesus did, I have a Savior who will take me to heaven.  Jesus has never failed us.  He never stuttered about his role.  It’s beyond a shadow of a doubt who and what he is.  It’s evident.

Jesus didn’t say he hoped he was all these things.  He is and it is evident.  He is set forth among us today.  The devil is just a big bag of hot air.  Whether Jesus was in the manger, on the cross, or in the tomb, he’s the real deal.  I can’t see him but by trusting him I grasp someone real.  He’s the solid rock and in his confidence I can have confidence.  I don’t know a lot but I know that if I trust Jesus it will be evident that I’ll be all right.  We must set ourselves forth unto him and trust him with everything.
