John 15:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
Think of this as if he’s talking to you. Listen to his words. As born-again believers we have his Word. We believe he shed his blood for our sins. Man always tries to make things better in life. That’s all right, but we can never be saved without Jesus. We look to God for answers. People have different answers and opinions about God until they meet him. One day human differences will be over, and we must have our confidence in Jesus Christ. God is faithful to carry out his Word.
He tells us to have the mind of Christ. Don’t be afraid of what Christ did for us at the cross. We’re stubborn people. We’ve been saved long enough to be on the meat of the Word. So don’t be puffed up at each other. Stay in the Word. Ask God to help you. Be hungry and thirsty and God will fill you. We were once dead; now we’re free from the bondage of sin, made alive in Christ. Now when I sin, he’s there to be my mediator with God.
We’re here for God’s purposes, not our own. Don’t listen to the devil more than you do God. Our hope is in God. We cannot make salvation better. It’s already perfect. Sure, there are weak Christians. Some are stronger. We all need help to grow. The Word of God corrects us in our wrongs. You are not to love sin after you’re saved!
Are you glad your name is written in heaven? We can know it’s there. I know what God has done for me. As saved people we are now one body in Christ. Read your Bible for yourself, not just at church. He’s to be our daily bread. He’s a great God whose son Jesus Christ died for all. What about it? Is your soul right with God?
