Mark 9: 50 Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.
I have to use extra salt because of low sodium. That’s what wrong with Christians today. The salt is low spiritually. We are the salt of the earth. Have you lost your saltiness? If so, then it’s good for nothing. If we don’t use our salt it will go bad, be useless. Salt comes from different places on earth, but the Lord is our source.
How can our church grow without the salt of God? In the world there are salt substitutes, but they’re not really the same. There is no real salt substitute. I felt a salting going on this past week during the revival.
Without salt food is bland. Down at the hospital the other day the food was pretty but it had no taste. I’m glad the salt truck was brought in this week and we know where it came from. Jesus taught us what to do. Have salt in yourselves. Growing up when we killed hogs we packed them with salt afterward. They’d hang in the smokehouse all winter protected and preserved. Without salt we’re unprotected and the rats of the devil would eat us up. God may not preserve this nation but if we keep the salt God will protect and preserve us. We are overcomers because of the Lord. We just need to keep passing the salt.
