I Corinthians 15: 24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.27 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.
This scripture is plain and to the point. Paul used words of certainty. When Jesus, the apostles and the Holy Spirit speak, it is with certainty. Then cometh the end. We might think that’s not something to look forward to. Some think time will go forever and that man will keep evolving with no need of God. We’re living in the most advanced time ever, a time of great knowledge. However, it is the most foolish time. Regardless of how benevolent people are or what good goals they achieve in life, if they don’t know Jesus Christ as Savior they belong to the kingdom of darkness not the kingdom of God. In spite of what God says, the devil thinks his kingdom will come out on top. Jesus resurrected to establish a kingdom that would stand forever.
Pilate asked Jesus if he was a king. Jesus said thou sayest but went on to tell him that his kingdom was not of this world. Those who accept Jesus are part of that kingdom. Times continue to get worse, but in the midst of it is the kingdom of God. Israel was in bondage in Egypt. They were the nation of God and in due time he brought them out. When Jesus left this world he said he’d come again. The angels underscored it by saying that the same Jesus they saw leaving on the cloud would come again in like manner. God sent Moses to lead his people out of Egypt. Moses was told to tell the Pharaoh that I AM sent him. That’s all we need to remember. The King we serve doesn’t sit on an earthly throne; he’s on the throne of glory. Our weapons are not carnal; they are spiritual. Our banner is the blood-stained cross of Calvary. I’m glad for the name of our King. This kingdom forms as each one gathers in one after the other.
Soon the reign of the old devil, who works with all nations of this earth, will end. He’s here in the USA as much as he’s in the Middle East and Europe and Russia and China. There is tremendous wickedness everywhere and the devil just laughs because they are part of his kingdom. Still in the midst of it all is the kingdom of God. People can be delivered from the devil’s kingdom into the kingdom of God. It’s not impossible to serve the Lord. It’s not impossible to get into his kingdom. Every time the gospel is spoken or a good old gospel song is sung we know Jesus is still taking care of his kingdom.
Keep trusting the Lord. We serve him not man. Christians in other nations are suffering greatly at the hands of ISIS. Don’t be afraid. God will deliver up and out. The time will come when it’s enough and the end will come. Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
Who will win in the end? Jesus!
