Revival Ready

Ezekiel 36:23 And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord, saith the Lord God, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.

This verse is God speaking.  It’s our goal for revival.  What the world needs is to see the Lord in our lives.  If it was possible for the world to see God in Israel at this time, it is possible for us in our day and time.  Israel had fallen away from the Lord and because of their sinfulness they were taken captive by Babylon.  As a nation they were like America is today—away from God.

Ezekiel was 30 years old when God called him to be a prophet. He ended up in Babylon just like Daniel, the three Hebrew children and others did.  Why be a witness there?  It’s never too late to be a witness.  They stood for God but suffered in Babylon.  Not everyone in the US has gone away from God either.  We can still have confidence in our brothers and sisters in the Lord.

Think about the honor of the Lord choosing to sanctify himself in us.  We’re among the heathen just as they were.  God is still God.  Jesus is still Savior.  We have an opportunity to show the reality of God.  Revival prepares us to be sanctified so God can be sanctified in us.  He needs a vessel that’s set aside for him.

I challenge you to pray for each other that we’ll do what God wants and that we’ll do what it takes to be set aside for God so that he can use us.  If we do, revival will surely come.
