God’s First, Only, Final, Forever Answer to the Questions of Today

Romans 1: 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. 17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. 18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness.

The word reveal is key for us.  God has spoken.  There are many things being debated today.  Sin has saturated society.  People who were sound in their thinking are questioning things saying maybe the Bible is not so right.  Well, maybe we need to stop listening to man’s opinions.  There are lots of issues, and the clearer you are on right and wrong, the better.  My viewpoint or anyone else’s doesn’t matter.  I don’t care how enlightened or educated some are.  God has the first and final say.  What he says will stand forever.  The source of truth—the answer—is to be found in the Bible.  Not just any Bible.  The one we hold in our hands will lead us right.  It is God’s spoken word that was written down.

Romans 2:1 says therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.  This tells us nobody has an excuse because we have the Word.  Either we believe God or not.  God’s Word is true and without error.  It is infallible—perfect, without mistakes.  God thinks straight and clear.  He’ll never say the wrong thing.  We can have a wrong viewpoint, but God’s way is not a view.  It’s the way it is.  God doesn’t care about our petty arguments over sin.  We need to listen to the answer from God. It is clear.  It’s not hard to understand; it’s in plain English.  It is not open to private interpretation.  Peter tells us in II Peter 2:1 knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.  The Bible doesn’t tell me one thing and mean something else to another person.  If the Bible calls something black, it is black.  When something is called sin, it is sin now and forever.  Regardless of how times change, what God says is forever settled when it comes to sin, salvation, and what makes a person a Christian and how we live.  The answer was given before the question was asked.

Romans 1:18 says for the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness.  All things mentioned in the rest of this chapter describe sin and how the world has become so wicked and saturated with wickedness.  Verses 21-23 and 25 tell us because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.  Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.  The Bible details what is wrong and right, sin and not sin.  The wrath of God is revealed against ungodliness.  Some say things don’t matter.  God loves me anyway and I’ll go to heaven.  No.  You won’t.  Sin will not enter heaven.

Paul said what shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?  Don’t think that your conduct and behavior don’t matter.  Don’t believe that things aren’t sin when the Bible says they are.  God put the brake on it and said God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?  There is no way to be right with God and continue to live in sin.  God hasn’t changed his mind.  The only way to avoid the wrath of God is to take his solution.  That’s taking HIS righteousness upon us.  You can’t start doing good deeds to make it better.  The Bible says our righteousness is filthy rags in God’s sight.  For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, the just shall live by faith.  There is a way to become right in the eyes of God.  We can’t get rid of our own sins.  That’s why God sent his son.  It took the power of God to purchase our souls.  It took the very power that created the world to create salvation through the birth, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  The only way to be free from sin is to trust Jesus and not go on in sin.

The Bible tells us about wickedness and wrath.  It tells us about God’s love and how to be saved.  Repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and live no longer in sin.  Live by faith.  We’ll all give account.  Romans 3 tells us now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God. This is God’s answer.  If you continue in sin, you’ll run right into the wrath of God and find yourself in the lake of fire.  The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

The entire world is guilty without Jesus Christ.  We can be saved and not live in sin.  There is a new life to live by faith.  God sent Jesus as our substitute to take our payment on the cross so we can be saved.  No one has to continue in sin.  That’s God’s answer for us, for Washington D.C. for Texas, and any liberal organization out to get fundamental Christians.  They can do nothing to God.

This is not Bob’s answer.  It’s not the Free Will Baptist answer.  It’s God’s answer.  I’m glad this guilty one is forgiven.  The devil is headed to the lake of fire; you don’t have to go with him.  Let the Book be your answer.  Be like Paul, unashamed of the answer.
