Genesis 6: 5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.6 And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.7 And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. 12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.14 Make thee an ark of gopher wood…7: 1And the Lord said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.
Now days, Noah is portrayed as cartoonish or sarcastic. He is pushed aside as only a story about animals and a boat. The Noah movie out now should not be seen. He is portrayed as a crazy animal rights person who’d rather save animals than his family. The reason Noah and his family were saved is that they lived right and found grace in the eyes of God. Before the world was destroyed by the flood it had gotten very wicked in every inch of society. The Bible says as it was in the days of Noah so shall it be in the days of the coming of the Lord. Every thought and idea was so out of control that the only remedy God saw was to destroy the world. The only remedy today is the gospel. The Bible, the cross, and Jesus are made fun of. Jesus is now just a curse word to many.
If we don’t get in the ark of God, the only alternative is the judgment of God. We are rapidly approaching judgment once again. The earth won’t be destroyed with water as it was last time. It will be fire from heaven. Fifty to seventy-five miles inside the earth is very hot. If the mantle of the earth cracks, the lava would spew out. You talk about a volcano eruption. The only thing God can do if people don’t get into the ark of safety is to allow them to perish with the judgment. It’s time to get saved.
The line of Jesus came through Seth. All had forsaken God but one family—Noah’s. God gave the people 120 years to repent before the flood actually came. He’s giving time today. The world has one more chance today. The only reason Noah found grace was because he followed God in spite of the lure of the world. Are you that determined? You’d better be. This old world must come to an end and with that and end to sin. The devil must go to the lake of fire; those who follow him will go with him. To not choose God is to choose sin and hell. Noah made an ark of gopher wood. God made an ark for us when his son became flesh and died on the cross of Calvary. An ark was made for us in the person of Jesus Christ.
Noah’s ark had one window. Prayer is our window into the ark of God. Jesus is the ark. With salvation you can make it through the judgment. It doesn’t matter how your situation is with God right now. The door is big enough for you and all your baggage. It’s left at the door through trust in Jesus Christ. Once Noah and his family entered the ark they were safe passengers to a new world. If you’ll trust God you can get inside the ark of Jesus and be safe from the judgment to come. The choice is yours. Time is closing. The time came for Noah and his family to enter the ark. Today I’m giving you a message from God. Come into the ark. It’s time.
The door to the ark had been open for a long time. People made fun of Noah and his family for years. Yet they loaded a boat in the middle of the desert with animals and then themselves. The door started to close as God began shutting it. Afterward it was still for seven days. There will be a short pause right before the end and the trumpet sounds. The people in Noah’s day didn’t realize they had lost their last chance to get into the ark. It had come and gone. I’m not talking about a mere rain storm. The heavens opened up like a fire hose. The earth shook and the fountains of the deep broke up. All water underneath came up. There was nowhere to go, no place to hide from the water. Noah and his family could hear the rain. They could hear the screams. They were safe inside while others perished. The ark sailed on. Hold on to Jesus. They sailed 1 ½ years. When the door opened it was to a brand new world.
The end of all things is near. The ark has been made. The door is still open. God is calling your name. It’s time to get on board before the door is shut forever. Come into the ark.
