And The Kingdom Shall Be

Obadiah 1:21 And saviors shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be the LORD’s.

This verse is a firm, true, and steadfast statement from the Lord to Israel that is good for us at this moment in time.  The Lord promises something that shall be.

I’ve wondered what the US will be like in another 10 years.  What kind of shape will the nation be in?  I don’t think there is much time left in this age of grace.  With each day, things are coming to pass that signal the end.  It’s frightening to think about.  There is a great relief though to know there is a kingdom that shall be.  The kingdom of evil and darkness—this world system—will end.  Satan will be cast into the Lake of Fire.  He knows his time is short, and he is frantically working.  There is pressure on everyone in every conceivable way.  The only time that won’t run out is the Lord’s.  Every believer born into the kingdom of God, from every nation on earth, will be free.

The flag of Jesus flies all over the world.  People are praying every moment.  When we sleep here, the other half of the world is getting out of bed.  God is an ongoing God, and the same is true of his kingdom.  We may seem a minority. We may seem defeated.  BUT WE ARE NOT GOING DOWN! Look on the unseen things.  What we can see around us is temporal.  The unseen is eternal.  Be on guard against the devil.  He advertises himself all the time.  He wants every believer to feel he is wasting his time with God.

When this verse says saviors will come, it means deliverers will come.  The mount of Esau is the kingdom of darkness.  The kingdom of the Lord is one of light.  Jesus is God the Son.  He is Savior, the only deliverer of mankind.  We don’t have to listen to the devil’s propaganda.  We don’t have to be affected by it.  By trusting in God we have the promise of deliverance from the wrath to come.

All our comforts may be taken, but our salvation is not in our finances or our possessions.  Our deliverance is in the Son of the living God.  The Savior shall come to judge the kingdom of darkness once and for all.  It shall come! We get daily deliverance’s now.  A brother or sister may speak a word of encouragement and lift us up.  A handshake may lift us.  Jesus will send something or someone to keep us going.  We get a little bit of heaven even down here.

I don’t know about 2021.  If Jesus comes before then, the antichrist can have it all.  The best thing for us is that the Lord will come.  Let’s be ready.

Do you belong to HIS kingdom?  God help our nation.  We have fallen, but in the midst of the turmoil is the kingdom of God.  We are part of that if we trust in Jesus.  God rules and will rule.  Jesus is Lord forevermore.  You and I are his servants.  Let’s do our best while it is day.

Remember; nations and kingdoms shall one day cease to be, but The Kingdom that forever shall be, shall be the LORD’S.
