School class one Sunday morning a few weeks ago as usual. We're usually
the first ones there, but this particular Sunday Alicia and Haley Louthian were
waiting on us.
We were having "good morning, glad you're here
today" conversation and I pulled out the flash cards for the Sunday School
lesson. It was evident that the lesson was about
Noah and the ark. Alicia proceeded to tell us the story about Noah and his
building of the ark and the sailing of the ark with lots of minor details.
Both Margaret and I were quite amazed and impressed. It was truly a
blessing to hear this from a child.
It makes me all the more aware that our children
take in what they hear and retain it more than we can imagine. It makes me
realize the importance of being a Sunday School teacher and the responsibility
Margaret and I have for forty-five minutes each Sunday morning to teach the
children. Pray for us as we teach the Crusaders for
Christ.
The Crusaders have won the attendance banner for the past several weeks. Bob Hill has been giving it out each Sunday stating that we might as well leave the banner in their class.
Good job, Crusaders!!
