Genesis 1:1 In
the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was

upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the
waters. 3 And God said, Let
there be light: and there was light. 7
And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the
firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. 31 And God saw every thing that he
had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning
were the sixth day.

We see here three phrases here that are seen throughout
Genesis. These are the first recorded words of God. In the end of the Bible, in
the book of Revelation, we see very similar words.

Let There Be

And It Was So

God Saw That It Was Good

Genesis one shows us the beginning of creation. So, what
does this have to do with us today? EVERYTHING!

It teaches about the very God we know. We need to remember this about
God and what it tells us about him. All that exists around us—the entire universe,
material, space, matter, time—all happened and are still in the process of
happening. The sun is still on its axis. The galaxies still go on. Hearts still
beat. Organs still work. We are working; the cause of this is God. God is still
the same as he was in the beginning. Regardless of the impossibilities in our
lives, with God it can happen. He’s the only one that can say “let there be”
and “it was so.” The question we face—are we ready to acknowledge it was so?

 In the beginning:
Jesus, God in the flesh, had already died for our sins. Before we took
our first step God was. He was already there. He is a “now” God not a “maybe-one-day
God.” HE IS GOD ALREADY! The triune
God spoke in the beginning and said “let there be.”  In verse 3—let there be light.  In verse 6—let there be a firmament,

or an expansion. He expanded the universe and made  the Big Bang bang! In verse 9—let
the waters under the heaven gather; he made the continents. In verses 14-15—let
there be lights; all manner of lights in our heaven were created. In verse 20—let
the waters bring up fish and the air the fowl. In verse 24—let the earth
bring forth cattle and beasts. In verse 26—let us make man.  He said let it be and it was so.

Everything exists because God spoke it. He allowed it. God
allowed us another year, another day. He said “let there be” and it was so. God
allowed us to happen. He knows what we need and how to supply it. He made
everything in six days; he did no straining, no heaving; it was not a struggle
for him. We can’t do what we used to do, but God can. In our weakness God has
power and authority to help. He has the authority to say “let there be” and the
power to say “and it was so.” We are made of God due to his power, wisdom and
purpose. We area not mistakes. God never makes mistakes. Everything is
deliberate and with purpose. It is time to quit dilly-dallying around and let
the God of the universe work. We need to turn it over to him and “let it be.”
And then “it will be so.” We can trust this God, who was in the beginning, with
our lives. Give him everything. Can it happen?

Yes. We don’t need to do another thing but let it be.

It’s time to believe God for who he is. Everything else does
what God wants. How about us? The last verses in the Bible say “and let him
that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever
will, let him take the water of life freely. We are allowed to do this.
God wants us to do it. When we allow God to rule our lives, we can say “and it
was so” and “and it was good.”

If we let it be, it shall be so, and it will be good!

We baptized two people after the morning service. Remember them in your prayers.
