Philippians 3:20
For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour,
the Lord Jesus Christ: 21 Who
shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious
body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things
unto himself.

The slogan for the President Elect is it’s time to change. It’s
the same with most presidents—when things settle down very little can be
changed. There is very little that man can do. No one can bring real change. We
may have prestige and great knowledge, but those are temporary. The nation and
the world are in great anticipation, and it is a vain hope because no change
will come without the Lord. People won’t change; they just want a better life.
It won’t happen without God. I can stand on the authority of God’s word, for in
verse 21 we see that Jesus is the ONE who can change—the one who SHALL change.

Verse 22 says “he is able even to subdue all things
unto himself.”  He has the power to do
anything he wants to with you and me. He has the power to do anything and
everything. That’s why we need to come to him for the change. Is it time to
consider change? Absolutely! Is it time for a change? It’s up to us. Don’t look
at others. Let’s look at what needs to change in our own soul. It’s good to
make prayer requests for our bodies. Have
you ever heard someone make a prayer request because they
aren’t praying like they should or they've become dilatory? No, we don’t hear that. We don’t want to admit
it. We don’t need to be a better person. We need to change.

Jesus is able to do
it and do what he wishes—which is what we need. Jesus took
the hydrogen and oxygen, the basic elements of plain water, to make wine that was the best they had. And this was just the first miracle He performed. If he can
change chemical composition at a molecular level, he can change anything. He took five loaves and
two fish and fed many.  God can take a
little and make a lot.

We may face this year with an empty pocketbook or with
poor health. Do we think he’s unable? The man at the pool of Salome could not
walk and therefore couldn’t get healed because someone always beat him to the water. Jesus
came by and asked him if he wanted to be healed. Of course he did. Jesus told
him to get up. The man jumped up rejoicing. Don’t say
God is unable. Jesus can change a raging storm to absolute calm. Do you have a
storm within? He can calm you. If he has complete control of the weather, he
can control your storm. The woman caught in adultery was about to be stoned.
Jesus could have helped them do it and been just in doing so. In just a
few moments he asked her where her accusers were and then told her to go and
sin no more. He can change the unforgivable to the, not just forgivable, but FORGIVEN! Our past doesn’t
matter. Jesus died for all our sins, and he can forgive them all.

The ultimate
change will come when this vile body gets a change. We’re going down; our
health is failing. He’ll change it for a glorious body. Are you ready for
change? He’s ready to make it. Are we willing?

What you can become is far greater that what you are now…if you come to
Jesus for the change.
