Genesis 18:14 asks “is anything to hard for the Lord? Jeremiah 32:17 answers the question by
stating “there is nothing too hard for thee.”
We live in an age of despondency. We have to be careful of getting under the
juniper tree. If there is any tree a Christian should not get under, it is this
tree. Elijah had just won a victory over the prophets of Baal. God answered and
brought the fire from heaven. Of course their God could do nothing. Yet a
little while later we find Elijah under the juniper tree—alone and despondent. He had no reason to be there. We have no
reason to sit there either. God is greater than this. His strength is greater than the atheist,
greater than the liberalist, greater than the corruption in high places,
greater than the evil in our society. He’s greater than any president, senator,
governor, or congressman. Genesis asks “is
there?” Jeremiah says NO! God is enough; He is sufficient. We have to believe
this. He’s powerful enough, tender enough, loving enough, and nearer enough—he is
sufficient for today.
- There
is no promise God cannot fulfill.
Psalm 107:8 simply says “oh that men would praise the Lord for his
goodness and for his wonderful works to the children of men.” He does not
forget us. In his promises we find comfort and strength. If God did not
honor his promises he would lose his honor. - There
is no problem too hard. Everyone gets in tight places. Crisis will come. God
loves us and we can count on his nearness during any problem we have. We
find victory, encouragement, and the needs for our situation. - There
is no place God cannot send a revival. We do it the wrong way today. We
publicize and organize; we should agonize. God will send it. II Chronicles
7:14 says “if my people…shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my
face, and turn from wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will
forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” He can send a revival to
this church, this community, this state, or this country. God can move if
we allow him to do so. - There
is no person too hard for God to save. The Bible says that he who comes
will not be cast out. Paul says in Timothy that all men can be saved even
the devil’s castaways.
Is your account settled with God? There is nothing too hard
for HIM.
