Hebrews
11:6-7 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to
God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently
seek him. By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved
with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by which he condemned
the world and became heir of the righteousness with is by faith.

Noah had a
hard time. The world lived one way; he lived another. The world was against him
when he preached and while he built the ark. He was scoffed and rejected. Noah
lived in a threatening time. No where in the Bible does it say that the
Christian life is an easy life. II
Timothy 3:12 says that those who live godly will suffer persecution. Today is much like Noah’s day. The world is
closing in on fundamental believers. Do not be discouraged. The world may be
many; we may be few, but Romans 8:31 says that “if God be for us, who can be
against us?” We have the Father, the
Son, the Holy Spirit and the angels of God encamped all around us. WE ARE ON
THE WINNING SIDE! The Bible says we are
more than conquerors and that nothing can separate us from the love of God.

We are
living in the last day. There is a need for a warning of the faith. Noah
was warned of God. The scripture says “being warned of God” Noah built the ark.
There is danger in rejecting the word of God. It is by the foolishness of
preaching that the gospel is put forth. Many souls have been saved from hell
through the preaching of the word. For the believer we find nothing that will destroy
us. We fall into the everlasting arms. For the unbeliever there is punishment.
He is cast into hell, into the devil’s pit, into doom, to damnation, to outer
darkness.

The scripture
says that God is a REWARDER of them that seek Him. God will pay us to work for
Him. It is a work of faith. Noah prepared the ark just as God
instructed. It was big enough for the people to see. It was urgent that he do
this work. If we have the right kind of faith we will do the right kind of
work. Ephesians 2:8-10 says “for by
grace we are saved through faith…not of works lest any man should boast…for we
are his workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good WORKS. Grace and work go
hand in hand. The Bible says “faith without works is dead.” How can we prove to
the world that we are Christians if they don’t see His works? Faith is to God;
works are to men. God forbid that our works would be a stumbling block that keeps
people out of church. We are God’s pipeline to the world. The Holy Spirit is the working agent of God,

and we have the message. There is a pay day some day—work for God. There is
also a pay day every day when we follow the Lord. Noah worked as a witness. We sow in tears; we
reap with joy. The ark was the cure for the world at that time. There was
destruction on the outside of the ark and safety inside.

There is a wealth
of faith. Noah was an heir of
righteousness which is by faith. We are heirs and joint heirs with Christ. How
much better off can we be? How much more can we have? There shall be showers of blessing; we will
receive the reward for your work. God will pay us to work for Him.
