Brother Ray McAllister taught a lesson on change at prayer meeting.
Jesus said you can't go back home again. When He went back to Nazareth, His home town people were amazed. He was the celebrity. Only a short time later they wanted to kill Him. Jesus slipped away. He found no favor at home.
Being a prophet, preacher or teacher for the Lord is not a cushy job. Many are evil spoken of. Jesus, the ultimate prophet came to shed light on our very identity. Today that identity is being tested by the world.
Israel didn't like Jesus speaking to others—us, the Gentiles. Jesus saw the needs of everyone; we all were and are important to Him. We were the outsiders, but now we are one of His own. The prophet had to give His life before the redemption came. A false prophet says all is well; the world is all right; you're all right. It's hard to tell the difference between a false teacher or preacher , but soon we see the lie come to light.
A true believer of God will be patient and kind. He will not keep score. There is nothing that love cannot face. Our knowledge will vanish; everything will cease but faith, hope and love. Love strives to be like Jesus. With the help of the Holy Spirit we can show love to the world and changes can be made.
