Nothing is Impossible

Everett Puckett brought a devotional thought in the absence of the pastor.

Luke 1:37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.

Matthew 6:30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of
the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he

not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?  31 Therefore take no thought, saying,
What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? Or, Wherewithal shall we be
clothed?
32 (For after all these
things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have
need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and
his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

In the Old Testament we read about Jonah being swallowed by the whale. He got there because he was running away from what he was supposed to do. However, God has a way of showing us what needs to be done. How could someone live in the belly of a fish for three days? How does a man breathe? We cannot underestimate the power of God. Jonah could do it because God was taking care of him. God was showing Jonah that He rules.

In Matthew we read that God takes care of the sparrow. He can work out our lives as well. God's grace is sufficient care. He even takes care of those who do not know Him as their God. We can go to Him for all our needs; we can do this because the book of Luke says that nothing is impossible with God.

We should always rely on God and tell others about what He is doing for us.

After the devotional, a time for testimonies was given.
