Blessings Upon the Head of the Just

Proverbs 10:6 blessings are upon the head of the just. A change occurs in a heart upon acceptance of Christ as Savior. There is an immediate forgiving and remission of sins. Do we find ourselves thinking that God's blessings are rare, just a trickle? We all have to admit it is good to be saved. The blessings of salvation are full, over our heads. We can swim in them. He submerges us in his goodness. Let's take a look at several verses in this chapter and see the blessings of God.

Verse
1
:A wise son maketh a glad father. We make God happy when we accept Jesus as Savior. It makes us happy too. When God smiles on us, it makes our problems seem small. He is happy; we have joy in our heart.

Verse 2: Treasures of
wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death
. We have peace with God. We don't have to go to hell; if we don't let Jesus pay for our sins through accepting
him as Savior, we have to pay for them ourselves. Salvation delivers us from death. Hell is too awful to risk. The blessing of deliverance from death and hell is there for us.

Verse 3: The Lord will not suffer (allow) the soul of the righteous to famish. We have sufficiency in our soul. We should not get caught up in
thoughts about what we may "have lost" or "given up" by getting saved. SO WHAT! We have Jesus. With him we will be satisfied. Our souls will be full.

Verse 8: The wise in heart will receive commandments. God speaks to our hearts. As our heavenly Father, he guides us. We have the best adviser there has ever been. If we follow him, we'll have the best of life.

Verse 9:He that walketh
upright walketh surely
. We have security. We take measures to secure our person and our possessions, but God is the keeper. He is with us; he takes care of us. We do not have to be filled with fear. Trust in the Lord. Calm assurance will come.

Verse 11: :The mouth of a righteous man is a well of
life.
Verse 21: The lips of the righteous feed many. We are valuable to the world, to the unsaved. We're not important to the devil, and in our sins we were nothing. We are important to God and to those around us. We have a way to feed Jesus to others. We have a true purpose.

Verse 7:

The memory of the just is blessed. When we leave this life, our legacy will continue. Our witness for God carries on. Our memory will be blessed.

Verse
16
:The labor of the righteous tendeth to life. We grow. We learn. It's exciting to trust God. It brings life.

Verse 24:The desire of the righteous shall be granted. What is the desire in your heart? God can give it to you. Sometimes what we want may not be best for us. We may not get it, but we WILL BE HAPPY in what God gives because it is what we need, what will make us happy. Our life will be full.

Verse 27: The fear of the Lord prolongeth days. The blessings of salvation add days to life, and they go on and on for our lives will go on. We may not live to be 80 or 90, but when this body quits, the new one takes over. There is no death to the Christian. We cease to walk here and our next step is in his
presence.

Verse 28: The hope of the righteous shall be gladness. We have hope. We can look at tomorrow and be happy. Tomorrow will be better
for the Christian. We can look ahead and smile.YOU JUST CAN'T BEAT being right with God.
